The NMHS Music Department believes every student should have the privilege to participate in the music programs at NMHS.  Music is at the core of education that encompasses art, foreign and universal languages, math, history, science, technology, life-skills, physical education, the military, entertainment, creativity, and various cultures.  These musical experiences will enrich students' lives in preparing for their future and will culminate in a life-long appreciation for music and learning. The Music Department staff work extremely hard year-round to make this program a success.

The Music Department encompasses the "Colt Stampede Marching Band", "Jazz Ensemble", "Concert Band", "Solo & Ensemble", Indoor Winds Ensemble, "Phantasmagoria" Indoor Percussion Ensemble & "Phantasy" Indoor Colorguard team & the "Colt Concert Chorus" which is our vocal music program.

Join the NMHS Performing Arts Department and bring along your positive attitude.  We are dedicated to providing you with experiences that will guide you in your future musical endeavors, assist you with your academics, and enrich your life after high school.

Current Fundraiser

Students have been given a Domino's fundraiser sheet to sell cards for pizza.  These were passed out on both Tuesday and Thursday, July 18 & 20. This fundraiser can help students pay for band camp ($100) or their fair share which is $200 for the entire year.  All money the kids raise go into their own band account at the school. Remember that you can subtract $5 for each music rehearsal you attended in July (4 total).
